What sort of Services do you offer?

We are a full service general business consulting firm but we have a special interest in working with entrepreneurs who wish to retire from their business.

Our services cover all functional areas of business operations such as Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Operations and a few areas that are difficult to find in Central Alberta such as International Out Sourcing and International Trade.

If I want to sell my business how long will it take?

This all depends on the type of sale that you want to do and the amount of planning that you have put in place thus far.

If it is a transition to the next generation of the family it is relatively simple. However if you want to sell your business as a going concern there are many more complicated aspects to consider that we would be more that willing to assist your with.

• Here are a few  statistics about selling your business that you may not be aware of:
• The average time to sell a business as a going concern is over three years. Up to five years if the owner has done no planning.
• 90% of businesses listed for sale as a going concern fail to find a buyer.
• 70% of Entrepreneurs are planning to sell there business in the next 10 to 15 years.
• The number one thing you can do to destroy value in your business is to advertise it for sale.

What is a strategic plan and how is it different from my business plan?

A Strategic Plan has much less detail than a business plan and it looks at a much longer time horizon.   A typical Strategic plan will be for a five year period and may even have 10 year and 20 year goals loosely defined.  Your strategic plan will look at your market, your competitors, undertake SWOT & PEST Analyses, perhaps customer and employee surveys and much more.

Your business plan is generally focused on your current year and perhaps the second year out and is mainly driven by your budget. It is your short term goals.

What are the cost of your services?

Our services are all flat rate depending on the project.  We will meet with you, determine your goals, timeline and outcomes and then put together a price quote for your firm.   If you prefer we will always work with you on small projects on an hourly basis if that serves you needs.
